Silver Sunday

Spencer swimmers won 3 silvers on the final day of the Worlds in Budapest. Grace Isaac won her third silver of the Meet in the 85-89 50 back in a time of 1.08.38. Greg Kahn also added another silver to his medal collection with a 29.25 in the 45-49 age group. Finally, in the last event of the Meet, Di Ford dead-heated for silver in the 70-74 50 breast in a time of 47.66.
Nigel Salsbury and Amanda Heath narrowly missed out on top 3 spots, winning pewter medals in the 75-79 50 back (42.99 – 4th) and 60-64 50 breast (42.24 – 5th).
In the 400 free, Jessica Rathke made a promising start to her comeback to racing with a 6.31.98 to place 20th in the 55-59 group.
Suzanne Maidment competed in both 400 free and 50 breast today, with a 20th place in 5.41.47 and a 41st in 45.64, with season’s bests.
