Spencer take 3rd place in Otter 150th Anniversary Gala

Spencer took a magnificent third place in the Otter 150th Anniversary Gala at the London Aquatics Centre today.
The “All Stars South” Team ran away with the meet, fielding a very strong team from all over the south and east of England (and by the look of it, Midlands too!). With some challenging events, including water polo relays, the plunge, a handicap race, old English backstroke and mystery medleys, Spencer finished just behind Teddington to take third spot. Other clubs included 2 Otter teams, Mid Sussex Marlins, All Stars North, British Police, Barnet Copthall and Guildford.
Spencer Stars old and new were competing, with Rosa Montague from Australia surely the furthest travelled, and former club chair Antonia Glynne Jones helping the 200+ polo relay to an easy win.
