Marathon 10k

While the rest of the club was at the AGM on Saturday evening, Georgie Quayle was finishing an impressive 2nd woman and 8th overall in the marathon 10k at the London aquatic centre. The concept was simple – swim up and down each on the 10 lanes, get out, walk around and do it nine more times. The event is in its first year, and so some improvements could be made – what swim club every sets off a lane in reverse speed order, for example? But if you want to swim 10k in a pool, this is probably the easiest way to beat the mental gremlins. Sara Luder was also swimming, finishing 12th female.
