Gold for Jack on Day 3

Day 3 has brought in more medals for Spencer at the World Masters Swimming Championships in South Korea. It was an early start for the women’s 400IM, which clearly suited Esther, who added a silver medal to her gold from the 100 breast yesterday evening. Not so good for Amanda who came in 8th place and was “feeling tired”.
Geoff swam a perfectly timed 200 free with even splits to take the silver by seven hundredths of a second, adding to his 2 bronzes in the 100 and 800. His time of 3.06.93 was a British record in the 80-84 age group. Tony added to his medal collection with a 6th in the 75-79 group, while Suzanne was just outside the medals in 9th place, and was delighted to be in the Top Ten in the world.
Sasha Forster had another season’s best in the 50 fly with a 38.63, while in the very last heat of the men’s event, Jack Marriott won the gold by a touch on the last stroke, in a superbly timed finish.
