The pool swimming kicked off today in Budapest with the 800 free. There were 4 competition pools in action – Tony Cherrington and Geoff Stokes were racing in each other in the 75-79 age group in the main indoor Duna A pool. Geoff pipped Tony to 7th place in 13.36.57, with Tony recording 13.46.50 for 8th.
Meanwhile over in the Hajos outdoor pools on Margrit Island, Simon Berrey raced to 38th spot in a pb of 10.43.50 in the 45-49 age group. Also in Hajos, we had 3 ladies in the 50-54 age group: Claudia Goldschmidt came in 15th in 11.32.19, Suzanne Maidment was 24th in 11.55.77 and Sara Luder (pictured) was 45th in 13.29.07.
